Eddie Claypool has been a bowhunter for 35+ years.  He has taken 60+ animals that qualify for the Pope & Young record book -- all were taken on do-it-yourself hunts, with the largest percentage coming from public land.  As a bowhunter, Eddie takes pride in having accrued a vast amount of woods savvy, gleaned from a lifetime spent outdoors.  

As an outdoor writer, Eddie has 200+ feature articles published in publications such as Bowhunter, Bow & Arrow Hunting, Buckmasters and Petersen’s Bowhunting magazines.  He also has 200+ articles published by Guide Outdoors, an Internet publication which is a subsidiary of The Sportsmans Guide. Eddie currently serves as a staff writer (field editor) for Petersen’s Bowhunting, and a monthly columnist for Guide Outdoors.  Additionally, he is proud to be on the prostaff of a number of top companies in the archery industry, including Mathews Solocam, Muzzy and Montana Black Gold. 

As a man – son, dad, grandfather and friend – Eddie strives to be an honest, hard-working man of integrity.  He takes pride in living by the principles of the Holy Bible, and is proud to be an American.
